Oil-designed boilers can burn coal

Large boilers designed for oil firing can be converted to pulverized fuel, but with some derating. The conversion of an Australian power station to burn either oil or coal is described. The units retain their original capacity of 200 MW when burning oil, but are limited to about 140 MW when burning coal.
