Experimental data are presented for the solubility of two modifications (..cap alpha.. and ..beta..) of uranyl carbamidooxalate UO/sub 2/C/sub 2/O/sub 4/.CO(NH/sub 2/)/sub 2/ in aqueous 0.1 mole/liter sodium perchlorate solution at pH 3-4.5, temperature 25/sup 0/C, at different concentrations of urea. It was established that the solubility of the unstable modification (..beta..-form) was greater than the solubility of the stable modification (..cap alpha..-form) by a factor of 1.4. From the results obtained the stability constants were evaluated. The kinetics of the formation of uranyl carbamidooxalate in relation to supersaturation of solutions of 1 mole/liter nitric acid at concentrations of 0.25-1.5 mole/liter urea were studied. It was shown that the boundary of the metastable region of supersaturated solutions in the studied system corresponded to a relative supersaturation of the order 3-4.
