Analysis of phosphorus-32 - approved standard 1973

Radiochemical purity and the absolute disintegration rate of /sup 32/P preparations are determined. Other ASTM methods are /sup 32/P referred to for the following determinations: /sup 32/P activity by beta counting, 35/sub s/ and other low-energy ..beta.. contamination by aluminum absorption curve, gamma contamination by scintillation counting, and chemical characteristics by chemical tests. The chemical tests include determination of heavy metal contaminants, free acid, total solids, and nonvolatile materials.
