Quantum statistics of polarized photoluminescence in ordered GaInP sub 2

In a previous work (Phys. Rev. Lett. 63, 2108 (1989)) we presented the first experimental evidence for the spontaneous breaking of cubic symmetry in the band structure of epitaxial films of GaInP{sub 2}. Qualitative physical arguments were used to relate this effect to the spontaneous ordering of the pseudobinary alloy. We now present a quantitative description of the photoluminescence observed in ordered GaInP{sub 2}, using the formalism of quantum statistics.
