This book presents the papers given at a symposium on the epitaxial growth of semiconductors, epitaxial metals, and strained layer epitaxy. Topics considered at the symposium included manganese doping, nucleation kinetics, photoluminescence, organometallic epitaxy, lattice matching in heterojunctions, vapor phase epitaxy, x-ray diffraction analysis of epitaxial structures, strains in magnetic superlattices, the electrical resistivity of superlattices, the magnetic properties of single crystal rare earth superlattices, electron microscopy, reactive sputtering, and Monte Carlo stability analysis of strained layer superlattice interfaces.
