Long-life lamps seen less efficient

Journal Article · · Energy User News; (United States)
OSTI ID:6775008
Rising electricity prices are making less-efficient long-life incandescent lamp bulbs uneconomical even though replacement costs are lower. The purchase price of long-life bulbs is slightly higher than for standard bulbs, but purchase price is minor compared to energy-consumption costs. The advantages of 130-volt bulbs remain when wages for bulb replacers are exceptionally high, however. (DCK)
