We calculate the {ital CP} asymmetry in the penguin-dominated inclusive quark subprocess {ital b}{r arrow}{ital s}{phi}. This calculation should be valid for all two-body processes, such as {ital B}{r arrow}{ital K}{phi}, {ital B}{r arrow}{ital K}{sup *}{phi}, which are penguin dominated. The asymmetry is less than one percent in the three-generation model, but could be as large as 20% in the four-generation model.
