Waveguide laser operation on the 351- and 353-nm transitions of the XeF rare-gas halide molecule has been demonstrated using a fast Blumlein circuit that operated at 2-20Hz. Laser energy densities of approx.8mJ/liter have been observed from a 62.5-..mu..l volume of flowing Nf/sub 3/:Xe:He (1:4:150) gas mixture.
