MATUS: a three-dimensional finite-element program for small-strain elastic analysis (LWBR Development Program)
MATUS is a three-dimensional finite element computer program for small-strain elastic analysis of structures subjected to mechanical and thermal loads. An eight-node tri-linear isoparametric element is used. The program is written in FORTRAN IV and COMPASS Assembly Language for the CDC-6600 and CDC-7600 computers. Problems with up to about 3200 nodes can be solved on a 60-bit wordlength computer with a central memory size of 64K and an extended core size of 512K (K = 1024). The APACHE thermal analysis program can be used to generate temperature distributions for use in MATUS. The MESH3D mesh generator program can be used to generate finite element meshes for MATUS and APACHE. (NSA 28: 4994)
