/sup 13/C NMR spectra and structure of iron carbonyl. pi. complexes of vinylsilanes
The values of the chemical shifts (CS) of the C atom of the starting vinylsilanes and their iron carbonyl complexes (I)-(VI) are given. As can be seen, when the complexes are formed the signals of the vinyl C atoms are shifted upfield by 77-96 ppm, in which connection the shift values of the ..cap alpha..- and ..beta..-carbon atoms are approximately the same for each complex respectively, which testifies to the same electronic environment of these atoms, and probably to the same nature of the bonds of these atoms with the central metal atom. The chemical shifts of the atoms, not taking part in the formation of the complex bond, remain (within the limits of 1-2 ppm) unchanged: CH/sub 3/ in (I), OCH/sub 3/ in (II), and CH/sub 2/=CH in (III).
