Integral equations for Wiener--Hopf factors of L/sub 1/ matrices

An elementary proof is given that the Wiener--Hopf factors of Fourier transforms of L/sub 1/ matrix-valued functions satisfy both linear and nonlinear integral equations. The matrices need not be L/sub 2/.
