Monthly operating sheet: ''A'' distillation

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:6728074
This chart gives information about the A/sub 1/ and A/sub 2/ distillation processes for the liquid phase of coal hydrogenation at various points in the processes. The information is concerned with the cold catchpot, reflux, throughput, liquid phase gasoline, ''A'' middle oil, heavy oil, off-gas, loss, liquor, and percentage of middle oil plus gasoline yield. Operating figures for A/sub 1/ and A/sub 2/ distillation are given in terms of furnace temperature at the radiation zone, the bridge, and the outlet; the oil inlet temperatures and pressure; the oil outlet temperature and pressure; the percentage of carbon dioxide in the flue gas; and the hours of operation. Energy figures for distillation A/sub 1/ and A/sub 2/ are given in terms of electric energy; fuel gas; low-pressure steam; high-pressure steam; fresh water; recirculating water; fuel gas throughput; and low-pressure steam throughput. The upper heating value is given as 3,244 and the lower heating value as 3,000. Distillation ''A/sub 1/'' showed a middle oil and gasoline yield as 64.2% and distillation ''A/sub 2/'' showed a 62.6% yield. The operation time for distillation ''A/sub 1/'' was 684.17 hours and for distillation A/sub 2/ was 599.67 hours. The ''A/sub 1/'' distillation fornace temperature was 772/sup 0/C in the radiation zone, 545/sup 0/C in the bridge, and 203/sup 0/C at the outlet. The oil inlet was at 141/sup 0/C and 4.2 atm and it showed 6.8% CO/sub 2/ in the flue gas. Distillation ''A/sub 2/'' showed furnace temperatures of 800/sup 0/C in the radiation zone, 566/sup 0/C in the bridge, and 230/sup 0/C at the outlet. The oil inlet was at 141/sup 0/C and 4.0 atm.
