We calculate the superconducting thermodynamic properties on the basis of two model ..cap alpha../sup 2/F spectra for V/sub 3/Si and compare them with recent experimental results. It is found that the spectrum obtained by scaling the measured phonon density of states in V/sub 3/Si in such a way that the resulting lambda value is equal to 1 gives good agreement between the calculated and experimental values of thermodynamic quantities. On the other hand, an ..cap alpha../sup 3/F spectrum set equal to ..cap alpha../sup 3/F/sub tr/ which was deduced from far infrared measurements (lambda = 1.29), implies thermodynamic properties of V/sub 3/Si which are not found experimentally.
