This article is an interview with Henry Geyelin, president of the Councl of the Americas and a leading spokesman for US business community on the role of US corporations in Latin America. Mr. Geyelin responded to questions covering a wide range of topics and geographic areas where multinational corporations are having influence. Multinational-corporation commitment to human rights are discussed, using Chile as an example. Nicaragua is used to discuss the close ties between business and politics. The inerview also touches on marketing, economic development, and political-military structures. (SAC)
