Water vapor condensation and relaxation processes in a gasdynamic CO/sub 2/ laser

Calculations of the kinetics of water vapor condensation in a supersonic jet of a CO/sub 2/--N/sub 2/--H/sub 2/O gas mixture expanding through a slit were used as the basis for an investigation of the influence of heterogeneous molecular relaxation on the parameters of the active medium in a gasdynamic CO/sub 2/ laser. The results of the calculations were compared with experimental data.
