State and Federal administrative orders revising the State Implementation Plan

The EPA proposes to approve an Illinois Pollution Control Board order submitted by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency as a revision to the State Implementation Plan (SIP) by which the Shell Oil Co. will now have until 11/11/79 to bring sulfur dioxide emissions at its Wood River, Ill., refinery into compliance with the Illinois SIP. The additional time is required for the installation of a Shell Off-Gas Treatment unit (Scot) to replace the existent Claus unit on one sulfur recovery unit. Written comments on the proposed revision must be received on or before 9/28/79; the Federal EPA will publish its final decision after this date.
