US/French compare oil spill tools

Both groups debated several new and revised methods of oil spill clean-up practices as well as outlined what is currently on their drawing boards. Two alternatives in the future are bacteria dispersants and satellite detectors. Some of the latest method advancents included Skimmer barge, hydraulic platforms with pumping control, flexible skimmer, rolip boom and rolnet. All these were discussed. (DP)
