This hearing focuses on the NRC's user fees. Under current law, the NRC is required to reover 100 percent of its budget from fees imposed on NRC licensees. NRC licencees have raised concerns about the firness of this requirement and bout the NRC's implementation of it. NRC has prepared a report to Congress on the fairness of the fee structure. This hearing examines that report and hears testimony about concerns of NRC licensees. Testifying are Senators Kempthorne (Idaho), Lieberman (CT) Simpson (WY), Burns (MT) and the following: D.
