Supersonic planar flows of a nonviscous nonthermally conducting gas in diagonal-type MHD generator channels (Re/sub m/<<1) are numerically analyzed. The distribution of electrical and gasdynamical parameters are determined and the two-dimensional effects in the ends of the channel and in the constant magnetic field zone are analyzed. The effect of a loading regime (current in an external circuit), the commutation angle for short-circuited ideally sectioned electrodes, and Hall's parameter on the integral characteristics of the generator is examined. The results of two-dimensional and one-dimensional calculations are compared.
