Computation of the. pi. d-scattering length on the basis of new data on the. pi. N-scattering lengths

The ..pi..d-scattering length is computed for different values of the s-wave pion--nucleon parameters. The calculation was prompted by the availability of new experimental data on the ..pi..N-scattering length. The ..pi..d-scattering length computed on the basis of Koch's parameters is in good agreement with the experimental value.
