Photoelectric B, V, R photometry of the eclipsing Wolf--Rayet binary CX Cep (WN 5+O8 V, Vroughly-equal12/sup m/.1, P = 2/sup d/.127) is reported. Analysis of the integrated (broad band) light curve (lambda/sub eff/roughly-equal6000 A) yields physical parameters of the WN 5 star: core radius r/sub 0/ = 4.5 +- 2.5 R/sub sun/ and core brightness temperature T/sub b/>50 000 /sup 0/K, values nearly the same as those for the WN 5 component of the eclipsing WR binary V444 Cyg. The light curves of these two systems have an interpretation consistent with the theory for the evolution of massive close binaries.
