Temperature distribution in the atmosphere of the Wolf--Rayet component of V444 Cygni, based on infrared data

An analysis of the infrared brightness distribution across the disk of the Wolf--Rayet star in the V444 Cyg eclipsing binary system yields source functions and temperature profiles in its atmosphere. The results are compared against model calculations for extended atmospheres.
