The economic feasibility of cogeneration is discussed in terms of federal regulations, fuel costs, industry-utility attitudes, electric power rate reforms, and economic incentives. Information is included on the energy conservation and pollution control aspects of cogeneration, the effects of the National Energy Plan on cogeneration facilities, and cogeneration technology as it affects the designer and plant engineer.
