The impact of legislation on cogeneration system development

Conference · · Am. Soc. Mech. Eng., (Pap.); (United States)
OSTI ID:5499417
The conventional economics and viability of cogeneration projects have been changed as a result of regulatory incentives provided by Federal Legislation that promotes energy efficient technologies. The impact of the regulatory incentives on new cogeneration system development will be discussed, as well as the effects of changes in availability of fuels, and regulatory reform efforts to meet our national energy and environmental objectives. Although the discussion will concentrate on Federal regulations, examples of state actions to promote cogeneration will be provided.
