We consider the contributions of the [ital C]-odd axial-vector resonances ([ital b][sub 1],[ital h][sub 1]) to [eta][r arrow][pi][sup 0][gamma][gamma], as well as those of the usual [ital C]-odd vector resonances ([rho],[omega]) and chiral loops. Inclusion of [ital b][sub 1](1235), [ital h][sub 1](1170), [ital h][sub 1](1380) increases the decay width of [eta][r arrow][pi][sup 0][gamma][gamma], improving the theoretical prediction. The measurement of the [gamma][gamma] spectrum can test our model. We also discuss the effects of these [ital C]-odd axial-vector resonances on electromagnetic interactions of neutral pions: [gamma][gamma][r arrow][pi][sup 0][pi][sup 0] and electric and magnetic polarizabilities of [pi][sup 0].
