Relation between CF crack propagation rate and dissolution rate at a crack tip for iron in 3. 5% NaCl solution

One of the aims of corrosion fatigue (CF) is to predict the crack propagation process. This paper relates the CF crack propagation rate with the dissolution rate at the crack tips for iron in a 3.5% NaCl solution. The results show that the crack propagation rate caused by corrosion factors is much greater than the expected dissolution rate of material at the crack tip.
