This report treats the design parameters of a high-performance x-ray analyzer capable of precise analysis, without separation or concentration, of both U and the very dilute Pu in SRP dissolver tanks. Specifications were estimated so that the rms variation would not exceed 0.20%. Results indicate that the XRF system has high potential for improving dissolver tank accountability. (DLC)
