This paper reports results of vertical chlorine profiles measured from air samples collected on balloon borne flights from Kiruna (67.9[degrees]N, 21.1[degrees]E) during EASOE. CCl[sub 2]F[sub 2] densities were measured, along with 5 other abundant organic chlorine compounds, and from these measurements the authors infer the total active chlorine density as a function of vertical height and time from this series of readings.
