The prospects for 1983 activities at fourteen world-wide companies involved in undersea operations are discussed on a company-by-company basis. It is forecast that over 300 remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) will be in operation and that as these units become technically perfected, jobs for divers will be scarce. The types and capabilities of ROVs being manufactured, their cost, and their uses are described. (LCL)
