Our measured [l angle][ital H][sub weak][r angle] disagrees with theoretical expectations; recent shell-model calculations by Horoi [ital et] [ital al]. using the PNC [ital NN] amplitudes of Desplanques, Donoghue, and Holstein yield [l angle][ital H][sub weak][r angle]'s that lie in the range from [minus]0.2 eV to [minus]0.8 eV. We briefly discuss some theoretical uncertainities that arise because the structure of the [sup 14]N doublet differs in important ways from other known parity doublets. In ancillary studies of the [sup 13]C([ital p],[gamma]) reaction at [theta][sub [gamma]]=90[degree], we found that the excitation energies and widths of the 0[sup +] and 0[sup [minus]] levels were ([ital E][sub [ital x]]=8624[plus minus]2 keV), [Gamma]=4.0[plus minus]0.3 keV, and ([ital E][sub [ital x]]=8802[plus minus]7 keV, [Gamma]=440[plus minus]8 keV) respectively. We also determined the following partial widths: [Gamma][sub [gamma]](8624[r arrow]0)=(0.37[plus minus]0.05) eV , [Gamma][sub [gamma]](8624[r arrow]3948)=(1.26[plus minus]0.17) eV, [Gamma][sub [gamma]](8624[r arrow]5691)=(0.43[plus minus]0.06) eV, [Gamma][sub [gamma]](8624[r arrow]6204)=(2.03[plus minus]0.28) eV, and [Gamma][sub [gamma]](8802[r arrow]0)=(25.2[plus minus]2.0) eV. We also report new parameters for the [ital E][sub [ital x]]=8062 keV, [ital E][sub [ital x]]=9174 keV, and [ital E][sub [ital x]]=9388 keV levels.
