Vector and pseudoscalar charm meson radiative decays

Combining heavy quark effective theory and the chiral Lagrangian approach we investigate radiative decays of pseudoscalar [ital D] mesons. We first reanalyze [ital D][sup *][r arrow][ital D][gamma] decays within the effective Lagrangian approach using heavy quark spin symmetry, the chiral symmetry Lagrangian, but including also the light vector mesons. We then investigate [ital D][r arrow][ital V][gamma] decays and calculate the [ital D][sup 0][r arrow][ital [bar K]][sup *0][gamma] and [ital D][sup [ital s]+][r arrow][rho][sup +][gamma] partial widths and branching ratios.
