Effective recombination coefficients were calculated for neutral carbon and singly ionized N lines using an atomic model potential to obtain accurate nonhydrogenic transition probabilities and recombination cross sections of singly excited states. Published nonhydrogenic data for two-electron transitions and dielectronic recombination coefficients were used to complete the calculation of the cascade. The tabulated coefficients are given as a function of temperature and can be used to calculate the emissivity of recombination lines of transitions from levels with n less than 8 and l less than 3. Total recombination coefficients are also given. 29 refs.
