Results for theoretical open-shell model potential calculations for photoionization of excited states of neutral atomic carbon and singly ionized nitrogen are presented. Principal quantum numbers up to 12 and orbital angular momentum quantum numbers up to 4 are treated. Photoelectron energies up to 1 a.u. (27.21 eV) for carbon and up to 4 a.u. for N{sup +} are considered. Some comparisons with previous calculations are shown.
