Title: Measurement of the [ital [bar B]][r arrow][ital D][sup *][ital l][bar [nu]] branching fractions and [vert bar][ital V][sub [ital c][ital b]][vert bar]

From this partial width we calculate [ital [bar B]][r arrow][ital D][sup *][ital l][bar [nu]] branching fractions that do not depend on [ital f][sub +[minus]]/[ital f][sub 00] or the individual [ital B] lifetimes, but only on the charged to neutral [ital B] lifetime ratio. The product of the CKM matrix element [vert bar][ital V][sub [ital c][ital b]][vert bar] times the normalization of the decay form factor at the point of no recoil of the [ital D][sup *] meson, [ital scrF]([ital y]=1), is determined from a linear fit to the combined differential decay rate of the exclusive [ital [bar B]][r arrow][ital D][sup *][ital l][bar [nu]] decays: [vert bar][ital V][sub [ital c][ital b]][vert bar][ital scrF](1)=0.0351[plus minus]0.0019 (stat) [plus minus]0.0018 (syst) [plus minus]0.0008 (lifetime). The value for [vert bar][ital V][sub [ital c][ital b]][vert bar] is extracted using theoretical calculations of the form factor normalization.
