Kinetics and selectivity of conversion of n-heptane on platinized alumina catalysts under reforming conditions

An analysis has been made of data on the kinetics of n-heptane conversion and the activity and selectivity of platinized alumina catalysts in this reaction under reforming conditions, these data having been obtained in a recirculating-flow unit operating under pressure. It has been shown that the differential selectivities of platinized aluminum catalysts differ in composition and activity are invariant with repsect to the physicochemical properties of the catalysts over a wide range of pressures. The data are in satisfactory agreement with the scheme proposed for n-heptane conversion on platinized alumina catalysts under reforming conditions.
