Hydrogenation gas flow scheme (in German)

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:6570392
This flow scheme showed the gas flows for liquid-phase and vapor-phase hydrogenation together. At each stage in the flowscheme were listed the total gas flow (in m/sup 3/ per hour) at that point and the separate amounts of the gases carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrogen, nitrogen, methane, ethane, propane, butanes, hydrogen sulfide, and ammonia. All pressure-release and gas-washing steps were included, as well as distillations and gas re-forming steps, such as the Linde installation. Sales of by-product gases and losses of gases were also indicated. Actually the flow scheme gave two sets of values corresponding to two different cases of production possibilities: one in which equal amounts of fuel oil and gasoline were to be produced, the other in which 35% of the product was to be fuel oil and 65% was to be gasoline.
