Symposium on Primary and Secondary Ambient Temperature Lithium Batteries, Honolulu, HI, Oct. 18-23, 1987, Proceedings

This symposium includes papers on manganese dioxide-lithium primary cells, the evaluation of Li/CuO and Li/Cu4O(PO4)2 D-cells, and the reliabililty of Li/SO2 primary cells for long-life applications. Papers on secondary lithium cells include those on recent work in organic electrolyte seconday lithium batteries, the performance of AA Li-TiS2 cells, the nuclear-beam analysis of Li in a-MoS3Li(x), MoS3 thin film cathodes prepared by CVD, the cathode reactions of V6O13 (NS) in rechargeable lithium battery, manganese oxide for lithium secondary battery, and the effects of the electrolyte solution on the behavior of lithium electrode. Consideration is also given to lithium cycling efficiency in mixed-solvent electrolytes, alternative anodes for secondary lithium batteries, materials for rechargeable polymer electrolyte lithium batteries, thermal decomposition products of polymers as negative electrodes in lithium secondary cells, and the application of electrochemically formed polypyrrole to rechargeable lithium battery.
