Determination of the /sup 235/Th. beta. -decay end point energy

Sources of /sup 235/Th were prepared by 14-MeV neutron irradiation of uranium followed by radiochemical separation. The ..beta.. and ..gamma.. spectra were measured with a semiconductor telescope and a HpGe detector, respectively. A ..beta..-decay end point energy of 1.44 +- 0.05 MeV and a Q/sub ..beta../ value of 1.47+0.08 MeV for /sup 235/Th were determined.
