The results of previous investigations of the phenomenon of coprecipitation of hydrolyzable elements with metal hydroxides are generalized. A heterohydroxo-complex model of the process of coprecipitation of hydrolyzable elements with metal hydroxides is proposed on the basis of the conclusions drawn. According to this method, the indicated phenomenon is represented as the result of acid-base interaction of micro- and macrocomponents and the formation of the corresponding heterohydroxo-complex. General empirical formulas for the curves of the dependence of the increase in the propotion of coprecipitation of hydrolyzable elements with metal hydroxides to maximum values on the pH value of the solution are also derived.
