Anisotropic three-dimensional [ital XY] model and vortex-loop scaling

The 3D transition temperature [ital T][sub [ital c]] versus [ital K][sub [perpendicular]]/[ital K][sub [parallel]], calculated for strong anisotropies from 2D'' (3D) scaling for scales [lt][ital r][sub 0] ([gt][ital r][sub 0]), matches existing Monte Carlo data well. Critical regions [vert bar][var epsilon][sub [ital c]][vert bar][le][gamma][sub 0][sup [minus]1/[nu]] are estimated. Contact is made with ideas of an intrinsic critical current arising from linear [similar to][gamma][sub 0][sup [minus]1][ital R][sub [parallel]] vortex segment effective potentials.
