A series of measurements of the high-pressure Ar-Xe laser has been made using a 2 {mu}s electron beam ({ital e}-beam) and an {ital e}-beam sustained discharge. The maximum output energy obtained was 4 J/l, with an intrinsic efficiency of {approx} 3%.
