JTEC/WTEC program summary, December 1992

The purpose of the JTEC program is to assess research and development efforts ongoing in Japan in specific areas of technology, to compare these efforts and their results to U.S. research in the same areas, and to draw conclusions regarding their impact on the economic competitiveness of the United States over the next ten to fifteen years.
