Non-standard HIGGS boson and the decay K/sub L/. -->. pi. /sup 0/l/sup +/l/sup -/

The authors investigate various mechanisms of enhancement of the branching ratios of the decay K/sub L/..--> pi../sup 0/l/sup +/l/sup -/ as compared to the predictions of the Standard Model. They propose a model with several Higgs doublets, which contains a Higgs boson with nearly equal couplings to e/sup +/e/sup -/ and ..mu../sup +/..mu../sup -/ pairs. In this model, the branching ratio BR(K/sub L/..--> pi../sup 0/e/sup +/e/sup -/,..pi../sup 0/..mu../sup +/..mu../sup -/) can be close to the present experimental upper bounds.
