Particle mechanics in harmonic superspace

A harmonic N = 2 superparticle action containing one-dimensional CP sigma-model action with the Wess-Zumino term is proposed. Hamiltonian mechanics is formulated and quantized by the use of the Gupta-Bleuler method. The spectrum of quantum states of a harmonic N = 2 superparticle is shown to contain N = 2 matter hypermultiplets, and also the field strength of the Abelian gauge supermultiplet in the massless case. The existence of gauge and supergravity multiplets in the quantum spectra of harmonic N greater than or equal to 3 superparticles is also discussed.
