Current data and trends are presented for production, consumption, stocks, imports, exports, and prices for the principal energy commodities in the United States. Also included are data on internaional production of crude oil, consumption of petroleum products, petroleum stocks, and production of electricity from nuclear powered facilities. Energy production during the first 2 months of 1982 totaled 10.7 quadrillion Btu, virtually unchanged from the level of production during the same period of 1981. Energy consumption during the first 2 months of 1982 totaled 13.5 quadrillion Btu, a 1.6% decrease compared to consumption during the same period of 1981. Net imports of energy during the first 2 months of 1982 totaled 1.2 quadrillion Btu, 38.0% below the level of the first 2 months of 1981.
