A study is described, by means of numerical calculations using a pair-potential model, of the degree to which the elastic dipole tensor of interstitial impurities in bcc metals depends on applied strain. The results of these calculations are used to estimate the interstitial-induced anelastic relaxation magnitudes of third order elastic constants (TOEC), i.e., the magnitude of the nonlinear Snoek effect for such systems.
