At Sullom Voe. a landmark terminal takes shape

A report on the scope of Foster Wheeler Ltd.'s work in the design and construction of the Sullom Voe terminal owned by the Sullom Voe Association, in which Shetland Islands Council holds 50, Shell Expro 30, and British Petroleum Co. Ltd., 20 of the shares covers the facilities to be installed, the project completion schedule, the process flow at the terminal, the construction site services provided by Foster Wheeler, G.B. for the project; process steam generation at the terminal by five Foster Wheeler Power Products Ltd.'s waste heat boilers fired partially by the hot exhaust of the gas turbines and by two conventional gas-fired steam generators; the development of a computer program model to determine the optimum size of the equipment needed for both steam and power generation and of alternative bunding methods to provide security in the event of a tanke leakage; and the labor force at the terminal.
