Analysis of elastic scattering in p-barp interactions at 22. 4 GeV/c

We report measurements of the differential cross section dsigma/dt for elastic p-barp scattering at 22.4 GeV/c in the interval 0.05 0.95 GeV/sup 2/ obtained from photographs of the bubble chamber Lyudmila. Values of the total elastic cross section sigma/sub el/ = 9.0 +- 0.3 mb and of the slope parameter b(s, t = 0) = 13.1 +- 0.8 GeV/sup -2/ were found by approximating the data by an exponential with a quadratic argument. The results are compared with data of other experiments at similar energies.
