Implications of nucleon--nucleon spin-polarization measurements. [A1-like and isoscalar exchanges, helicity-flip pomeron, Regge model scattering amplitude]

Conference ·
OSTI ID:6506404
The available data on polarized nucleon--nucleon elastic scattering are interpreted. By comparing these with the simplest exchange model predictions, features of particular interest such as low-lying A/sub 1/-like and isoscalar exchanges, and a helicity-flip Pomeron component can be identified. The maximum-simplicity Regge model is intended to facilitate interpretation of forthcoming pp amplitude analysis results. 14 references.
