Exact-finite-range coupled-channels Born approximation analysis of the reaction /sup 12/C(/sup 14/N,/sup 13/N) /sup 13/C at 100 MeV

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev., C; (United States)
The reaction /sup 12/C(/sup 14/N,/sup 13/N)/sup 13/C at 100 MeV is analyzed by means of an exact-finite-range coupled-channels Born-approximation code. In particular, the anomalous behavior of the 2s1/2 transition is studied with respect to possible multistep processes. It is found that these reaction mechanisms are not able to resolve the phase discrepancy between the experimental data and the finite-range distorted-wave Born-approximation predictions for the angular distribution.
